Tight end Zach Ertz will probably be sidelined for at least two weeks for No. 4 Stanford because of a lower right leg injury, leaving one of the team's most productive units short-handed.

The school announced Monday that Ertz is expected to sit out Saturday's game at Oregon State and the Nov. 12 matchup against sixth-ranked Oregon that could determine the Pacific 12 North champion. However, he has not been completely ruled out next week when the Ducks (7-1, 5-0) visit Stanford Stadium.

Ertz appeared to injure his right knee on the opening kickoff of Stanford's 56-48 triple-overtime victory at USC on Saturday night. He spent the remainder of the game standing on the sidelines with crutches.

Colorado reinstates two players

Colorado Coach Jon Embree said sophomores Parker Orms and Paul Vigo have been reinstated to the football team after sitting out four games.

The Daily Camera of Boulder reported both were practicing Monday as the Buffaloes prepared to host USC on Friday night.

The two aren't expected to play Friday but could return next week against Arizona.

Orms and Vigo were among five defensive players Embree suspended in the first week of October for team rules violations. Details of the violations weren't publicly disclosed.

Redshirt freshman defensive back Josh Moten was reinstated earlier and scored a touchdown Saturday against Arizona State.

Embree said sophomores Ayodeji Olatoye and Liloa Nobriga are still working toward regaining their good standing on the team.
